Andrew Davis
Andrew is Director of Finance and Systems and brings his experience as a qualified finance professional (CPA) with broad financial, systems and management accounting knowledge to the MACS management team.
He has been a Director of the company since 2007.
Andrew ‘s responsibilities include:
- Controls and administers the accounting, financial and management information functions of the business.
- Ensures that the CEO and Board are kept fully informed with regard to financial and system related matters of the business.
- Preparation and analysis of budgets, reports and forecasts as required.
- Ensures proper management of the company’s assets and implements risk management strategies
- As Company Secretary, ensures compliance with legal, financial, corporate or statutory requirements.
Shane McNeilly
Shane has been a part of the MACS teams since 1980 and purchased the company in 1986 along with Ross Frederickson. A qualified boilermaker Shane has considerable track record in providing innovative engineered responses to customer needs.
He has grown the engineering division so that it not only provides a range of specialist medium to large truck bodies and equipment but also provides a range of site services and special project activities.
Shane’s primary responsibilities include:
- Develops, directs, and controls activities of the company’s engineering operations to achieve revenue and profit targets and is directly responsible for group design and estimation.
- Directs, controls and coordinates engineering site based projects and services to meet time, budget and performance goals and achieve project objectives
- Identifies, evaluates and makes recommendations on new products and services
Ross Frederickson
Ross joined MACS in 1972 as an apprentice boilermaker and along with Shane McNeilly, purchased the company in 1986. Ross has extensive experience and understanding of the mine vehicles and equipment market and it is this knowledge that underpins the growth of Macs since its earliest days.
He has developed a solid reputation for the designing and producing safe automotive equipment for specific needs.
Ross’s primary responsibilities include:
- Directs, controls and administers the production operations of the company to achieve optimum efficiency and quality and best use of the company’s assets and employees
- Establishes and ensures that production objectives, policies and procedures are aligned with the goals of the business plan
- Ensures achievement of the highest possible levels of safety performance
Simon Mortess
With extensive experience in development management and marketing and commercialisation in the health care and retail sectors across a broad range of projects, Simon has a track record in delivering large scale projects within complex environments.
He has significant experience in driving projects on green field sites and applies these skills in the marketing, project management and business development of MACS Engineering Group.
As Director, Marketing, Sales and Projects, Simon has the following primary responsibilities:
- Directs, controls and administers the marketing, sales and business growth strategies and activities of the company to achieve revenue and profit targets
- Directs, controls and coordinates projects as directed by the Board to meet time, budget and performance goals and achieve project objectives.
