MACS ENGINEERING HAVE DESIGNED, BUILT & TESTED ROPS FOR LIGHT VEHICLES FOR THE MINING INDUSTRY FOR OVER 30 YEARS WITH SOME OF THESE SYSTEMS BEING THE FIRST UTILIZED IN THE BOWEN BASIN MINING AREA.

What are ROPS?

Roll Over Protection Systems, better known as ROPS, are strengthened components installed on a vehicle. The primary purpose of these components is to minimize harm to the occupants in the event of a vehicle being involved in an accident where a rollover occurs.

Our designs have been refined & improved over 30 years & have evolved with improved engineering, design & fabrication methods to bring to market the least intrusive products available.

ALL NEW ALUMINIUM ROPS Tray Bodies

MACS Engineering latest innovation in mining vehicle ROPS is our newly developed aluminium construction integrated ROPS Tray Bodies. These products offer the same style & welded construction as our steel ROPS trays with the added advantages of up to 30% weight savings, typically around 100kg for a ute body, as well as no chance of rust which can be prevalent in corrosive mining environments.

STEEL ROPS Tray Bodies

MACS Engineering fabricate a range of trays with the ROPS integrated in the tray headboard. These systems make for safe, reliable & functional vehicles able to be used in any industry or application. MACS designed ROPS have been tested and verified by Monash University’s Maintenance Technology Unit, one of Australia’s leading accident research institutes.

Internal ROPS

We offer a range of internal ROPS for vehicles such as vans & wagons where external systems don’t suit the application.
